Gloria Jean Volz passed away December 13, 2016. She was 80 years old. She was born January 7, 1936 in Caldwell, Texas to Andrew Jackson Norville and Emma Harper Norville.
Gloria was a devoted wife that served alongside her husband Wayne Volz in the ministry for 35 years after Wayne retired from the San Antonio Police Department in 1978. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often referring to each one as her favorite. She was adored not only by her family but the many lives she touched with her love and compassion. She has left us to be in the presence of our Lord and she will be greatly missed. Our sorrow is lessened by the assurance and hope we have of seeing her again one day. "Even so come Lord Jesus."
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William Addison Norville.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 ½ years Rev. Wayne Edward Volz of Aransas Pass, Texas; sons, David Wayne Volz (Kathryn), Darrell Edward Volz (Diana) and Rev.Donald Arthur Volz; brother, Jack Wayne Norville (Madelyn); 9-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
