Consumer Price Index-U for calendar year 2016 is 2.1%.
Those retiring 9/30/1999 and earlier will receive 2.1% COLA increase effective 1/1/2017.
Those retiring 10/1/1999 through 1/1/2016 will receive 75% of 2.1% or 1.6%.
Those retiring 1/2/2016 and later will receive prorated portion of 1.6% based on full months retired as of 12/31/2016.
