From The Desk Of Mike Helle, President SAPOA

Michael Helle, President of the San Antonio Police Officers Association, issued the following statement after reported remarks by Mayor Ron Nirenberg at a mayoral debate on April 8th, in which he attacked the character of the San Antonio Police Officers Association.  “It’s a shame, but not surprising, that Ron Nirenberg has chosen to attack the San Antonio Police Officers Association and assume he knows what police officers want or think. Ron has spoken out and voted against police officers at every turn. He has no idea what our officers face every day and you’d be hard-pressed to find support for this mayor among the rank and file.”

Bill Morales - Update

From: Charles Ross [mailto:mdr@gvtc.com]
Subject: Bill Morales
Guys, I spoke with Bill Morales today. He is doing well since his Bladder Surgery. He stated it is a very aggressive cancer, but it was still in Stage One.  The Doctor thinks he caught it early enough that Bill should be declared Cancer Free for the Time Being. However, this type of cancer often reoccurs.

Bill will be undergoing some post Op maintenance for the next 6 weeks. If everything goes as expected, he should be home free. Bill reminded me that " Prayers Do Work" and he appreciates all the concern from his Brothers and Sisters.

GOD Bless
Mike Ross

From Mike Ross

Bill Morales, Retired SAP, underwent surgery this month (April 2019). They found a spot on his Bladder the size of a peanut. It turned out to be cancerous.

The tumor was removed today, The Doctors believe they found it in the very early stages and were successful in removing all the cancer.
Bill will be going home later today and will be out of commission for a couple of weeks.

GOD Bless and prayers for a full and speedy recovery.

Mike Ross
